Whitney Tilghman has over 18 years of experience providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those seeking sobriety. She also has experience in the field of prevention science.
Whitney specializes in trauma-informed care, mental health, and substance abuse services.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Salisbury University in 2010 and her Master’s degree in Administration of Human Services from Wilmington University.
Whitney actively serves on several Boards of Directors that support youth and individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the Tri-County area.
She enjoys being a part of the United Needs and Abilities (UNA) team and is passionate about building strong community partnerships and supporting initiatives that promote stability and opportunity for individuals and families.
Whitney is a proud mother of one and a brain tumor survivor. She is also a dedicated member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In her personal and professional life, she is committed to community service and collaborative efforts that strengthen and uplift the communities she serves.
