Tinecka White

Tinecka White has worked for UNA since 2009. In the beginning she worked with those we serve in our residential program. “When you are part of UNA,” Tinecka says, “you grow a bond” which has certainly been true for her working her way up to her current position as a Program Coordinator. Having a passion for helping others is evidenced in the way she works hard to listen carefully to hear concerns, even if it’s only allowing people to vent. Her understanding of compassion means patience, as she went on to say, “It enables me to become more efficient in my job”

Although, Tinecka started her professional studies to be a nurse, she believes working here at UNA, as a Program Coordinator, is preparing her to be a Nursing Case Manager which she hopes to accomplish in the future.

Tinecka says her moto for life is, “Stand firm in what you believe in.” Living up to her moto, she manages her client assignments each day according to her belief system. By example, Tinecka is showing the value of others (individuals, family and staff) through caring in all situations, assisting everyone to see their own worth. This is the family atmosphere that Tinecka says drew her to UNA and she has grown to appreciate.

In Tinecka’s view, the most important things that have impacted her life are her three children. As she states, “They have made me a better person.” Tinecka is a resident of the lower shore and lives with her husband and three children.
