Advocates count down to Developmental Disabilities Day at the Legislature (DD Day) all year—and the wait is finally over! 🎉

Join us Wednesday, February 18th, from 8:00–11:00 AM in Annapolis for an exciting and impactful morning of advocacy.

You’ll hear directly from legislators and fellow advocates, get the scoop on the most important advocacy priorities for this legislative session, and then put that knowledge into action by meeting with your own legislators to talk about the issues that matter most!

DD Day is proudly hosted by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Coalition, made up of The Arc Maryland, Disability Rights Maryland, the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS), the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council, and People On the Go Maryland. Want to learn more about our Coalition partners? Click here!

To help you feel prepared and confident, event materials—including fact sheets and advocacy toolkits—will be available on the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council website before the event.

Accessibility is a priority 💙 Sign Language Interpreters, Spanish translation, and CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) will be provided. If you need additional accommodations, just let us know when you register—there’s a place to mark your needs after payment.

✨ New in 2026: DD Day will also be live-streamed! Stay tuned for details on where to watch. Please note: in-person spots are limited and fill up fast. If you plan to watch from home, do not register for the in-person event.

☕ Breakfast and beverages will be provided!

🚗 Parking tips: Parking in Annapolis can be tricky, so please plan ahead. We strongly encourage carpooling. Parking at the Graduate Annapolis Hotel is limited, so arrive early. Additional Annapolis parking options can be found online here.

Have questions or need help with accommodations? Contact Luc Chausse, Director of Communications and Engagement at The Arc Maryland, at lchausse@thearcmd.org.

🌨️ Weather note: If the State Legislature closes due to extreme weather, DD Day will move to a virtual format. No refunds will be issued, but we’ll share updates as early as possible.

We can’t wait to advocate with you—see you all at DD Day! 💪🎈
