Elaine Copeland

Mrs. Elaine Copeland has learned to appreciate those we serve over her 10 years at UNA. Holding several positions while working with UNA, she has been a Mentor and Direct Support Professional with those we serve before coming to the office to coordinate our transportation needs. These experiences have given Elaine a greater understanding as to what we at United Needs and Abilities do daily to enrich the lives of those we serve.

When asked why she loves her job, she shares she feels it is her calling to assist and help others; “Being able to accept the diversity of humanity and serve them accordingly” as an employee of United Needs and Abilities, Inc. “Treating people the way I want to be treated” is the moto Elaine lives by daily in all that she does. To that end, Elaine says that coming to the office has made her appreciate the staff while giving her greater respect for those we serve and their livelihood.

Completing course work in Chemical Dependency has given Elaine a desire to continue her formal education and complete a degree in Social Work. Although she has always enjoyed her work with various populations of people, she feels thankful and blessed to be able to fulfill her purpose and feel useful in this world; enriching lives daily.
